Writing about writing, because why not?

Writing is work, and its difficult to choose a "favorite" piece simply because every document is incredibly unique and portrays a different feeling and purpose at the time it was written. I've done my best to include a wide array of everything from academic assignments and leisure pieces to professional and creative samples. Even though these are all unique in genre and content, there are plenty of areas of writing that I hope to explore further. As a chronic editor and nitpicker, writing from years ago is still subject to change. But for now, happy browsing.

More Samples

An in-depth magazine style article on Orthodox dating in the modern world, a piece that I have used as the basis for many projects to come.
This piece was the script that I used for a final broadcast project in college. It is the only writing I have ever done that was turned into a TV broadcast which is why it is so brief. Nonetheless, I struggled a lot to cut out all of the extra words.
Interestingly enough, this is an article I wrote for the Entertainment section in my high school newspaper. My writing has developed a lot since then, but my love of boy bands hasn't changed, so here it is.

Humor

This is one of my favorite pieces of writing, mostly because it came about from pure boredom and because it has elements of humor in it. I was reading a popular website called Elite Daily and saw an article on Jewish men, and I thought I might as well compile a list of my own to send in just to see what happened. It was published, but more importantly it stands as a reminder that writing is the best way to express my unique point of view. P.S., the picture is a working link!

Work

This piece of writing is from a Public Relations internship that I had in the summer of 2014. A part of my responsibilities at this particular internship was to write biographies for clients in order to send out to potential magazines or other outlets in order to get as much good publicity for the client out to the public. Even though it was a professionally sanctioned piece of writing, it was enjoyable to find different angles to present to the different outlets.

School

A huge majority of my projects throughout college were verbose academic essays explaining theories or research on a variety of topics. Rather than including a 10 page paper though, I looked back at samples from a Greek Mythology class. One of our projects was to choose any topic that had to do with Classics and turn it into something creative. I had never written poetry before, but the following sample was what resulted from what remains to be one of my favorite creative writing samples.
