How my biggest tool of procrastination became something.

Once I discovered Myspace, there was no going back. To me, it was the perfect excuse for slight narcissism disguised as a way to keep in touch with your friends and family. Unfortunately, Myspace is nearly obsolete and every year it seems like a new social media trend comes and goes. It's always exciting and novel , which is exactly why when I said I wouldn't be sucked into Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, you name it, I inevitably was. Thankfully for me, social media has become a huge part of many great careers. Since social media campaigns and blog posts are a different type of writing than anything else I have included on the site, I have consolidated them here.

Culinary Superwoman: Monica Bhide

During my time in D.C. I was able to attend countless amazing events to write home about (or to the blog), but this particular post was special to me because I was able to personally interview Monica Bhide, a renowned chef, writer, and cookbook author. I also was able to taste-test some of her recipes, and even as a writer I can't come up with a good enough adjective to describe that.

Sensible or Psychopathic, how can you tell?

Even though I am a self-proclaimed detective, I couldn't sleep for weeks after attending Mary O'Toole's lecture about serial killers and sociopaths. It was hard to express in words exactly what it felt like to watch real clips from prison interviews with the most notorious murderers in American history, but I gave it a shot. Excuse my horribly timed jokes.

A Love Letter to American Music

Relating back to the first post, I equate music to food in the sense that they both bring me the greatest joy, which is precisely why I freaked out at the chance to write about and see up-close pictures of Dave Grohl, a music legend who was the lead singer of the Foo Fighters and the former drummer for iconic grunge band, Nirvana.
